So u join a DP. What can u do?
1. Pull: Archer is good at pulling coz of his super-long range, but at the same time he's bad coz of his low aspd (attack speed ~ lowest in game)
2. DD: Archer is the worse DD in a DP, because buffs add p.atk as a shade and not as a % like they did in e3. Simply, shade benefits the fastest attackers. On top of that, you get quick potions that raise your aspd as a % and not as shade, which again benefits the fastest attacker rappelz rupees. If you compare an archer with an assassin, this is the result in damage (approx.):
Unbuffed:
Assassin: p.atk: 800 + 300,
aspd: 76 (Dual Daggers)
Archer: p.atk: 1300,
aspd: 66
Buffed: by Cleric: +135 p.atk + 30 str,
by kahuna: +135 p.atk,
by chaos mage: +180 p.atk + 14% aspd,
by quick pot superior: +9% aspd
by orc: +110 p.atk
Assassin: 800+450 + 300+300
aspd: 76 + 17
Archer: 1300 + 450
aspd: 66 + 15
TOTAL:
Unbuffed: Assassin: 1100 p.atk at 76 aspd
Archer: 1300 p.atk at 66 aspd
Buffed: Assassin: 1850 p.atk at 93 aspd
Archer: 1750 p.atk at 81 aspd
Note: i know the numbers are false, but they're close enough
Solo:
Soloing is very easy. Long range = almost no run and mob at half HP before it hits u. With mental concentration u can kill w/o being touched, sounds imba eh? Soloing bosses is easy as well, but like i said, soloing is no match of a dp concerning exp, not even a bad one rappelz rupees.
PvP
now this is the biggest letdown. if you want to have a chance at pvp, u must keep a distance, or else u're doomed. but there's classes u can't beat in any way, like priests or bishops. doing 300 damage with a +10 lvl 10 R4 bow is just not enough when your opponent can heal for 1k HP in no-time and 350 HP heal per 2 sec (with restoration). Cant talk about other classes atm, getting late

- compared to epic 3, my Archer in epic 4 has like 1000 p.atk less even with the 2nd job bow passives! can't see why
- Spiracles: what a waste of time! fighter~>champ/archer is the only classes that depend on 2 things when it comes to skills: mana and spiracles! if i want to use all my skills at MAX i need more than 20 spiracles and i only have 6 rappelz rupees. i wouldn't mind using 1 spiracle for the skills that need them, but not more
